The Holiday Days!

Connor is 7 months Old!
Connor has been busy! He grew four top teeth in one month, totaling in seven teeth. He has gone from army crawling, to now pulling himself up to standing!

 Jake came to visit us!

Jake completed his first semester at BYU-I. Before heading home to Georgia for his break, he came down to Provo to visit with us :)

The guys were able to have some video gaming fun. Felt like the old georgia days when Jake would sleep over at our place and stay up super late playing video games while devouring Oreos and chocolate chip cookies and drinking tons of milk.

We spent an evening in Salt Lake City. Viewing the Temple Square Christmas lights and walking around Logan's office at the Zion's building. I guess I'm grown accustom to Utah's predictable weather of clear, sunny days so I never think of checking the weather. Little did we know that Salt Lake was freezing cold and rainy, but we had the place to our selves.

We stopped in the Desert Bookstore to warm up and browse around. Logan and Connor  went around looking at all the beautiful paintings of temples, scripture story scenery and Jesus. When Connor came to the picture of Jesus, starting giggling, talking, smiling, and leaning forward to touch Him.  I wish I could understand baby-talk, I'm sure Connor was sharing some great wisdom. To me this just proves that the vail is still so thin for babies, it wasn't that long ago that Connor was hanging out with our Savior.

Sunday nights when family is visiting is famous for Sunday Dinner.  Holly, Geoffrey and Tanner were able to come down from American Fork to visit with us and Jake. Thanks to Sherri for sharing the recipe for the guys favorite meal, I was able to cook Jake and Logan's favorite meal from home, Poppy Seed Chicken. Yum! Officially added to our family collection of recipes. We enjoyed each other's company and watching the cousins, Connor and Tanner, play together.

Christmas Eve!
We spent our Christmas Eve with our friends the Henderson family! Talmadge cooked a tender, juicy steak that rivals the best steakhouses in town. After putting the kiddos to bed, we stayed up late playing the game Ticket to Ride. The usual competition tendencies didn't ruin the fun, instead the spirit was strong with laughing and sharing of our own families past, present, and future traditions.  On Christmas morning we couldn't help but hangout again with a big breakfast!

Christmas Day!
This Christmas was extra special! First of all, we actually celebrated it, big accomplishment for us! Our four years of being married it has always happened during Christmas we are either packing or unpacking, because some reason we always move to a new place. This year has proven to be the most enjoyable Christmas for us, because Connor is here to share it with. This was Connor's first Christmas, I expected him not to interactive since he really doesn't know what is going on, but he proved me wrong! At only 7 months this little guy sure knows how to celebrate. Christmas morning, Connor was so excited and happy. Since setting up the Christmas tree Connor has been wanting to attack it so we had to set up barriers to keep him away from it. Christmas morning the barriers we removed and Connor was free to attack the presents and tree.

This Christmas was our first talk of our plans of Santa within our family. We decided that Santa will not be apart of Christmas for us since this holiday is about Jesus's birth that will be our main focus. We will adopt Logan's parents idea of three gifts: spiritual, practical, and fun. Next year I plan on finding ways to volunteer to serve others and doing things the Savior would have done. I'm excited for the years to come for developing our traditions and giving us something to look forward to every year. I love my little family so much!
