June

Jake Visits:

Jake caught a ride from Idaho to come visit us for the weekend. We always love when Jake comes to visit.

Teaching Connor how to play the guitar

The Saturday that Jake visited, Logan had a golf tournament. While Logan was playing golf, Jake hungout with Connor and me. That morning Jake joined us on the weekly garage selling adventures. After lunch we took the bikes out on a 10 mile bike ride. Then Logan was home and we enjoyed the rest of the time enjoy each others company and watching movies. This is what life is all about, family time!
The pictures below is what happens when you want to take a simple group photo with Jake. After I realized all the pictures we took were of Jake's funny faces, I requested to have some normal ones. ( I couldn't decide which was my favorite so I included them all.)

Logan's Golf trip:
The Zions Bank Golf Tournament was great! My co-worker, Jon Rich, invited me to be the fourth on a team comprised of his brother, surprisingly visiting from Warner Robins, GA (small world), and his father. This tournament was the first golf event that I've participated in since Grandpa Harris and I golfed in high school. Man do I miss those times golfing with him!

This trip was bad news for Hanna because I had SUCH A GOOD TIME! and I caught the Golf Bug! We had a blast, shot well for the scramble tournament, and ended up playing some pranks too. Jon's brother, Ryan, used the bathroom before teeing up on the 10th hole. Jon decided to buzz the tower by ramming the golf cart into its side. Too Funny! Jon's dad, Papa Smurf as we called him, used the bathroom right after Ryan. However, instead of ramming the golf cart into it, we boxed him in and LAUGHED OUR HEADS OFF while he struggled to get out! We had FUN! (...Yeah, we probably weren't the classiest golfers on the course.)

Zion's Olympics:
The guys at Zions Bank NRE (National Real Estate) division are very competitive. Management is very easy going and thought it would be fun to get off early Friday and have a friendly olympics competition including presenting awards.

Hanna's Girls Day:
I am so lucky that I have such great girl friends in Provo. Even though I have moved 45 minutes away they keep in touch and we still get together. My friend Lacey, husband is in Dallas for two months for an internship leaving her alone with two kids. I know how tough it can be to be alone with your spouse gone for the summer. Lauren and I suggested having a girls day (with the kids, of coarse) to cheer her up. We spent the day at Seven Peaks water park and later we had plans of doing a DIY Spa Night of pedicures, manicures, and facials. After a day spent at the park we were too exhausted and instead went out for milkshakes and spent the rest of the time having girl talk.

Practice Church:
Happy Father's Day!

Connor decided to test Logan's fatherhood, on Father's Day, by being difficult at church. Church did not go well. He just wants to explore everything and not sit still. Instead of chasing him around and disturbing everyone who is trying to have a spiritual lesson we went home after sacrament meeting. I'm sure Connor was relived to come home and be "free", but he learned that practice church is less fun than real church. For 30 minutes we took turns holding him in our laps with his arms folded and told him it was time to be reverent. At least at real church you have a speaker to listen to and watch, whereas practice church is nothing but quite. Connor screamed for the first 25 minutes, but atleast we weren't disturbing anyone. The last 5 minutes he was a smiling little boy who sat on our laps with arms folded. Needless to say, we are so ready for him to be 18 months old and go into nursery.
Connor and I are thankful to have a man in our lives to teach correct principles and actions. Being a father is not always easy, but anything worth doing is hard work.

Connor:
Our lives revolve around Connor. It is official he is now walking! He has become a little man (it seems over night) and now he is becoming more independent. He loves to play on the playground but tries to eat all the wood chips. Also, when we have art time, he tries to eat the crayons and markers. He loves to play with toys and even makes the vroom, vroom sounds while pushing around cars. He is all boy except he has a soft spot for his soft Mr. Lamb that he drags around or cuddles with at night in his crib.
